A potager garden is a well thought out kitchen garden; but unlike the focused utility of kitchen gardens, the potager garden focuses equally on beauty and functionality. Potager gardens not only include edible plants such as herbs, fruits and vegetables; but also flowers and herbaceous borders. Together, these elements result in a garden that is pleasing to the eye for its beauty and form, whilst providing nourishing home grown food for your kitchen.
The Urban Potager Approach

We want to plan and build your dream edible garden.
Our consultation process is formatted to ensure that the vision you have for your garden is achievable, as well as functionally designed for success.
We will spend time reviewing your favourite Pinterest and Instagram posts, conducting a detailed assessment of your design preferences and wishlist for your envisioned edible garden.
This will include a site visit and free consultation about the vision and goals for your space.

Once we agree on a design direction, we will create a mood board and edible garden design. This will enable you to envision how the final space will look and function.
During this stage we will finalise the plants - fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers - that will be included in your garden.

This is the exciting part of the process - where your vision comes alive.
We provide professional installation services of the final design including all hard infrastructure, irrigation and the final planting.
This will include a final planting plan, as well as a reference for seasonal planting to make future gardening seamless and a pleasure.

We understand that a significant barrier for many is the fear of keeping plants alive. We also recognise that some clients want a beautiful potager garden full of healthy produce, but may not want to do the labour themselves; or simply don’t have the time.
With this in mind, we offer various maintenance services which can be tailored to each client’s specific needs.
We also offer once-off, or continued education on plant care for you or your regular garden caretaker.
It is important to us that your garden thrives and is an ongoing pleasure for you and your family - whether as the gardener, the harvester, or simply as a peaceful space for contemplation.
